Zil-e-huma Sheikh MD FAAP
Dr. Sheikh is an American Board Certified Paediatrician who specializes in the care of children from newborns to 18 year olds.
She grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario and went across the globe to obtain her medical degree with high honours from Medical University of Lublin and gained extensive international medical experience. She then traveled to Michigan where she completed her residency at Michigan State University/Sparrow Hospital. During her training, she earned The Patient Advocacy award as well as initiated and worked on a quality improvement project that was published in the BMJ journal.
She is passionate about child health and well being and her utmost priority is to deliver the highest quality of care to your child. Dr. Sheikh highly values thorough discussions with her patient’s families so that they are fully involved and well informed in every decision making process for their child.
Dr. Sheikh is a member of the Essex County Medical Society, Ontario Medical Association and American Academy of Paediatrics. Along with taking care of patients at her office, she also works at Windsor Regional Hospital (Metropolitan Campus).
She is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi. She grew up in Etobicoke and now resides in Windsor with her husband who is also a physician and their three kids. She loves traveling, cooking, reading, interior designing, learning about astronomy and spending time with her family.
